Getting creative

Made these picture frames for my closest friends in school. Been so long since i went through my old scrap booking stuff, missed the smell of paper and glue. Can't wait to get back into that hobby. Haven't scraped in 4 years so I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Time has no meaning

Love being on vacation! This is what my clock says the current time is. Power went out a week ago still have yet to change the time its still flashing at me to change it. Havn't done it though, not cus I'm lazy but because time is of no importance to me at the moment and it feels great.

Stopped by my aunts place to drop off christophers xmas present. Borders is awesome had some borders bucks to use and saved myself $7!! Haha. I was also able to wrap up his gifts there with their complementary gift wrap supplies. A couple more stops and my gift giving will be done. Just got stuff for the little ones like my niece and nephew and little cousins.

Just actually bought this book on amazon but there are like 3 more i'm gonna need. hate the way they withhold book info until school starts.

gonna need a voice recorder for lectures.. My Elsa is gonna be in a different lecture group glasses!!! Well my glasses are fine I just need a new prescription been getting way too many headaches. no more plain white scrubs, apparently they scare kids so I'm gonna need to buy some printed colorful scrubs.Borders gift cards always welcomed.

Random ass night, got picked up by Rich K. (The ladies man) we headed out to Broken Record for this kids 22 bday. Hung out with the dudes from commissure, got perked off of everyones beer, and ended it off with a long ass game of Monopoly at Young Eddys. I suck at being the bank.

Carrot cake

Went to Ben's and made some carrot cake, also had some mexican hot chocolate while watching a classic Pet Sematary. Lol perfect for the holiday season.

Last months randomness

Had lunch with the family last Sunday for Mother's b-day. Little dude was all fitted out in niners clothes.

Found a doggy nose sticking out of my covers. My poor nookie has been having a rough couple of weeks.. thinking of putting him down, but no one has the courage to take him in.

So overwhelming sad how his own funeral wasn't at all about him... what an awful way to go.

So sad how his funeral wasn't about him at all. The only time it was about him was when his friends stood up to speak of him. All the preaching and forcing their religion on us seriously killed it. It made me numb to the reality of what was going on. I guess it was the parents way of coping with it all but still I couldn't help but think of how he would have hated the entire thing. His parents didn't know him at all and thats what sadness me the most I guess.



No worries Ric we'll keep your memory alive!! Did I mention how handsome he looked... "Forever Young" Mike did an amazing job on him, and Manny the barber rocked his fade!

Lets Groove

The song Rochelle played for Ric just before he passed away. I'm so glad she was with him and that she was able to play one of his favorite songs for him. He loved his music always had it bumping it was so important to him. So glad he had such a great girl like Rochelle in his life. I don't think I have an ounce of her strength. Feels like she knew exactly what to say and do. Shes been through so much these past few months and stuck by his side till the end.

12/1/10 <----- : - ( long faces all the way. If anything I'm glad i was at the hospital when it happened. Also thankful that god stopped his suffering and his parents didn't have to make the tough decision of pulling Ric off of life support. What a rough day for us all. The worst was leaving the hospital alone, thats when I realized how truly comforting it is to have all my friends around at this time. And then the feeling of guilt hit as I stepped outside and took that first breath of fresh air. Not that I would ever wish this upon anyone but Ric was truly an amazing person. Which leads me to question why do these things happen to such good people?

Breakdown

Overwhelming to see the turn out, so much love for Ric. So thankful to all of the people who came out tonight. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I heard them chanting Ric Roc, I couldn't hold it in. Thanks to Danielle for helping me through that moment glad I caught her when I did. The drive home felt just as hopeless and lonesome, but still very thankful.

Ric is a very special friend of mine who is battling stage four lung cancer. It's been a tough road for him and all of us who are there for him having to see what hes had to go through. We're just ordinary people here trying to raise money for our friend. We are trying to send him off to a treatment center. So please come out and support someone who is very dear to me. Drained

The beginning of the school week really leaves me feeling drained. Can't wait for today to be over darn hump of a week day. Gotta keep reminding myself only 3 more weeks of this ridiculous schedule. On a lighter note I really enjoyed ambulatory surgery everyone was so laid back and got along really well. Seems like a really fun place to work. Didn't hurt that this one surgeon was hot, but married with kids, they play the guitar and drums. Of course he played rock music on his ipod while he chipped away at someones bones. Also saw an eye being stitched up; cornea transplant from a dead person going into a person who needed a new cornea. Pretty interesting I tell ya. Met a nurse from austin who hates the rest of texas. According to her austin is the san francisco of texas. She joked around online and quoted Bush's dumbest quotes ever stated by that idiot. Very chill and laid back atmosphere they got going there. Also heard one of those "omg how cute" love stories that made me smile. This lady dated her soon to be husband back when they were young in high school... 25 years later they meet up again and haven't been apart a day since. Of course they are in there forty's but they were sooo cute together! Now I gotta two page paper to write about my experience blahhhh here we again the busy work that never lets up. But first a much needed day nap.

I would love to experience it again a million times over if I could. A million apologies to young eddy, but taking Jon was just appropriate. Don't know many people who'd let me stand on their toes so I could get a better view. Plus if it weren't for Jon I never would have listen to them, he burned me all their cd's like 3 years ago, and if I didn't have them this past summer well ya know. Anyway you've got a reason so go ahead and hate me. Anyway I'm pooped my hand might say "party!" but I gotta get to sleep. I have a day at ambulatory surgery tomorrow gonna see blood and guts super excited.

5th annual friends thanks giving dinner

I hosted this years thanksgiving dinner. We had the biggest crowd ever 18 people in all! Nookie was being a little booger as always but calmed down towards the end of the night. Ric wasn't feeling too well so he spent most of the night in my room resting. Mmmmm such yummy food it was delish. Here's to yet another successful friends thanks giving dinner, till next year!

My one friday off of school so excited, I havnt had a day off since I started in august I've been going to school 5 days a week too. Ric was out of the hospital so I picked him up, we had lunch at Savor with Danielle and Kristin. Now we're down town shopping and taking advantage of his parking permit. He got a little rolling scooter from the mall, we just foloowing him now lol.

Mmmmmm! Can't remember the last time I had some taco truck tacos sooo good! There is this truck near Brendas place, I always see it cus its also on my way back from borders. Got off on the wrong exit this afternoon on my way up to school and decided it was fate. Done deal I had to try this truck out. Not bad at all just wish they had some sopes. Might have to suggest it next time Brenda and I are famished.

Coldbuster

At jamba getting my monday morning dose of immunity. Have I mentioned how bad my mondays suck? They are the absolute worst so after lecture which ends at 4 I have to head down to kaiser in redwood city, where I get my patients information. That usually takes me more or less about an hour. So then I have 2 care plans to write with a pathophysiology paper for each diagnosis and a list of all their meds. They are each 8 to 11 pages long and take up to 4 hours to finish. So in 12 hrs I'm expected to have all that shit done and sleep and be up at the hospital by 6:45 am! Nursing school.. Don't try it its not fun.

1 year joblessversary

its been a year since I quit my job at clock. I think I did pretty well for myself I still have a couple bucks left.. Ahhhhh!! Being this broke is no joke and stressful as fuck. Trying my hardest to not worry about it, but I'm not used to being this broke. I haven't seen a pay check since Nov. of 09!! Oh well my savings lasted me a full 12 months. Still have other investments but i'm not gonna touch em just gonna ride it out now... welcome to the cash strapped life.
