I've Lost My Edge!

Whats that saying?.. Don't put off what you can do now for later... or something like that. I lost a half of what gave me some edge due to not caring and bad judgement. Didn't think it would close off in a matter of a few hours I mean shoot you've been there for six years!! The body works in such mystifying ways. Not sure exactly what I'm gonna do with the other one frankly I don't feel balanced.

Bed Boycotting

I've been crashing on my floor for the past week. I guess I'm stressing pretty bad with this new schedule and adjusting to school. Could be related to anxiety or perhaps I'm just weird. I don't feel safe in my bed anymore the floor just seems so much more appealing. I'm not quite sure why I've started this new sleeping habit. I guess i figure if I sleep on the floor it wont be so comfy so when my alarm goes off I'll get up and not hit the snooze. But I don't exactly know if thats the reason, i'm just trying to make sense of it, and well that sorta makes sense to me. Nookie doesnt like it much though hence he's on my pillow.

Journal Shopping

Gotta keep a journal for either skills lab or clinical? Not sure which one yet, but we're supposed to write in it every time we have class so we can reflect on our challenges/ accomplishments etc. Since I'm here at Borders capital of all things like journals and such I narrowed it down to these 2. I like the idea of having a quote on the cover.. So I love the pink one cause it blatantly tells me to"calm down" I tend to get nervous pretty regularly and then I get into distress mode... however I'm not to fond of the alternative message to eat a cupcake. Already 10 pounds over my comfort weight zone, such a heifer, I need an eating disorder stat!! Well then there's the other journal which has a much more inspirational message on it. I think I'll go with that one. Something nice to read on a regular basis.. it'll also help remind me that I do have a soul heh. cause apparently I've lost it somewhere along the way.

Direction-less

I'm doing all this reading but i have no idea what to focus on. Its so frustrating. It really sucked that Thursdays lecture was cancelled... i mean at least then I would have some kind of an idea and not feel so lost. Anyhow I'm feeling some Animal Collective right now

Accidental

The easiest thing I've ever done! okay so i might have broke down once or twice from the stress of working 50hours a week and taking an average of 4 classes a quarter and paying for the tuition on my own without any assistance... But seriously looking back at it... it really was a sinch.

Made it back home by 9pm it was a nice lil day trip with tons of laughs, and most importantly that much needed SUN!!!

In search for some good BBQ food and waiting for traffic to clear up we ended up at this totally random BBQ joint located in a semi-sketch industrial area of Sacramento. The place was a warehouse!

Looking for something to do in Sac-town, one of Danielle's friends suggested we head out to this dam where we could hang out and kayak. We got some beer changed into some swimming gear and paddled out!

Pied Pipers! On our search for some sun we stopped by Davis to check out the town. I was somewhat familiar with the area since i've been there before, but I never noticed these little dudes on top of the liquor store... had to take a quick pic.

Meet my Time Capsule

I'm very much so a planner keeping kind of person. Going through the old ones takes me back in time farrrrrr back in time. It's a nice little reminder of where I've been.

Medical stuff

Feeling kinda excited I got my kit in the mail. Full of some pretty cool nifty medical things.. such as specimen containers, bandages, culture swabs, male and female catheters (ouch), syringes, IV solution, eye wash, alcohol pads, biohazard bags, feeding tube, and a ready to use enema.. just to name a few.

but still spending.. finally went out to buy scrubs, got 2 weeks before school starts... crunch time! Gotta get all the necessities. Discovered today that scrubs aren't all so boxy. Alittle extra cash can get you a slightly/ somewhat more flattering look. I'm not excited about the mandatory white color we have to wear. Must get ued to wearing white shoes too.. yuck! Deathly afraid of getting fat-er; its like wearing pj's all day!

Grabbed some yummy breakfast with Danielle and Ben this morning.. then headed to Valencia since we were in the area. Fell in love with this old granny purse, freakin awesome. Thrift stores like antique stores are dangerous places for me to be venturing in. I love old worn out shit. I seem to think I can provide a home for neglected unwanted items.
