Gifts! for Meadow

My niece turns 1 tomorrow! Getting all her gifts ready. I went with a sporty theme, got her a swim suite, with a floating thingy, a carebears basketball hoop, a strawberry short cake mitt with ball, and a giants onsie.

Plans

The lighter outline is my house layout now without the seperate garage the darker lines are what the house will look like including the lighter ones to the right. Pretty much extending it and making it bigger. They are getting permits and seeing if we can create a semi side/backyard along hillside ave.

Once upon a weekend..

I was not nearly as stressed out as I am these days. I spent a saturday at a park playing with Kito making friends with little kids. Kito learned how to play some tennis against concrete haha those poor rackets and then I drank a 40oz without passing out. It was nice.

what a tease of a teas test

Just read the instructions and it saysssss.. if you passed the test already you don't need to take it just submit your scores there is NO expiration date!!! Yayyy! You'd think I'd know by now that you always gotta read the instructions. So its official I am in! Now I just gotta go threw with it and pass all my clinicals! I sure hope their NCLEX passing rate is high.

FINALLY

Got myslef into the nursing program at CSM, after 3 years of applying! I sorta knew it would happen this way. I rushed home from borders to open the letter, after being on campus all morning... meeting with professors and buying my cap and gown for graduation. Before starting my health science degree at CSUEB in 2008 I almost got in to the nursing program. I was #20 on the list and didn't make it. I didn't bother applying for 2009 since I was in the middle of getting my BS. I did however take the TEAS test for nursing and passed back in 2008. So here I go again, I have 1 week to take that TEAS test and pass in order to secure my spot in the program. Amber gave me a study guid for the exam last year when she got in good looking out, I'll be reviewing that this weekend. Looks like all the pieces are starting to fall together, in the right places. As for now I have these classes to finish up. This quarter has proven to be one of the most time consuming, so I guess I'm glad I don't have a job right now. Honestly I'm hating this quarter a bunch of group projects with people I'v never met cause my classes are online.

blogger-versary

Happy 1 year of blogging to me. Looking back at this thing its crazy to think how little my life has changed. I know I've never been fond of change but I'm starting to realize this could be damaging.

Connecting the Dots

Ok so this is way out there, but I have come to a hypothesis. I've linked together a book I recently read "A child called it" and a cult classic series I've been watching "Dark Shadows". The book is a true story about a boy from Daly City who was brutally abused by his drunken mother. In the book he mentions that she would sit on the couch and watch television and think of new ways to cause him pain. I'm wondering first of all why she would single out only one son to abuse when she had three to choose from and at that even kept having babies. So this is when i start to link the two. The abuse took place throughout the mid 60's and early 70's precisely the same time that Dark Shadows began to air on ABC. So here is my hypothesis, the crazy abusive mother targeted her son David because she was probably watching Dark Shadows and like everyone else disliked the little boy who was also named David he plays the role of a bratty kid who tried to kill his father during the first season. The kid in the TV series really is a pain in the butt. Not that I'm trying to justify the mothers abuse towards her son, but really crazy people should not drink and should not be allowed to have children or a television. the end.

Playing Surgeon

So Alex once asked me to remove his neck piercing thingys but I never did so we went to Kaiser where the guy removed it in like 15 seconds. Probably cus it was less than a week old piercing. Well now Ben asked if I could remove his which have been in for the past 7 months and the screw was imbedded in his ski with layers of thick scared skin over it. All I had to use was a kitchen knife, and a pair of tweezers. We preped with some drinks, Ben had a Blueberry martini, and I had a large stella. We cleaned the instruments as best we could but we didnt have any alcohol to steralize em. The knife was way dull, I had to stab at it inoder to get through the skin,, after 40 min, of tugging, turning, snipping and twisting the little sucker finally came out. 3 blood soaked bounty napkins later mind you. Alex I hope your happy I never went through removing your piercing!

Took a stroll down Burlingame ave this morning when I saw Nancy's house from nightmare on elm st.! Haha. I had to take a quick pic. All they need is the grls in white playing jump rope and singing that creepy number song.

1/2 Nelson

Organized the studios media section into Playstation games, movies, shows & such and then skatng videos. Hope it lasts and stays that way. Also cleared up their table and magazine, and book area. Looks like these boys are alergic to order.

St. Pattys

Hung out with karol and tyler and his friends. Since Alex has left I havnt really gone out and socialized. Went to Liberties for some drinks then up to his co-workers house up the street on dolores.

Monterey

Weekend in monterey was fun. Saw some cool bands the people were chill. Shared some jack wth y. Ed and scarfed down a slice of cheese pizza. Burped like a man and laughed when rich said, "I lke it when u burp." Lost my buzz on behalf of an unexpected event. Learned that Monterey guys are a lot more ballsy than sf dudes. Heard commissure play a clean set, and finished off the trip wth a belly full of bubba gumps.
