first meal at new place curry up now! HAd to blog so damn good!
Movin back has been quite a process. Been throwing a bunch of stuff away and not caring. Glad my hording tendencies are under control. Being that everything is new it make me not want to keep anything that's old or that I have no need for. I've literally thrown out about 10 boxes of crap that I had been holding on to.
Heard about a play playing at the Marsh starring a very talented nurse from UCSF told some of my former nursing classmates about it. We took advantage of the SF food festival in the mission and made a day out of it. The play was touching, funny and so true in may ways can't wait to be a practicing RN. Went out for drinks at Cava. Realized that night that it was my fourth weekend there in a row turning into a lush much?
My grandmother got super sick earlier last month, I spent some time with her at the hospital. Kinda sad shes my last living grandparent, but shes doing better now. Had this one nurse ask me if my grandma knew that I was a nurse. It had never crossed my mind to tell her since her dementia has been so advanced. We had a nice little moment she started stroking my arm, I'm pretty sure she got it :)
smoke from the refinery explosion... yep we were less than 3 miles away
Well, well, well Richmond it's been nice but I don't think I'm gonna miss you much, farewell iron triangle. Its one of those... "holy shit no way moments" mixed in with a little... "I can't wait to get started" with a tad of... "Dang I'm scared"
Officially I found this out yesterday the brn has been all screwy some people waited weeks to find out their results while others like myself only waited 4 business days. Either way I was already celebrating partly because the pearson trick worked when I tried to reregister for the test. Coming out of the testing center in Oakland I was about 105% sure that I had bombed the test. I was so sure of this cause all I remember thinking while I was taking the test was "no fucken way" (excuse my language). I felt like I was guessing on every single question. I had so many Select all that apply questions I thought that I was cursed! It was a very strange experience almost as if it wasn't me taking the test... (don't take that literally it was definitely me for my veins were scanned and my picture was taken at the site) maybe it was my anxiety that made me feel that way or the three hours of sleep I had gotten the night before. Anyhow the test was over after 75 questions meaning I had done really really bad or really really good. Of course I assumed the first oft the two. I know now what they mean about wanting one more question because it means your still in the game, but I was just happy that it was over and that I wasn't stuck there having to answer 265 questions. Got back home from down town in 10 min was devastated when I thought that the site was letting me reregister, took me a good 30 min which felt like an eternity to figure out that I hadn't hit the 'next' button. Once I did I saw the good pop up message.... OOOO MMMM GGGG I passed!
The only thing missing was ice cream... Started off with dim sum brunch at Dear Mom, then popped a bottle of champagne at the park, followed by bloody mary's at zeitgeist with some real talk and more at foreign cinema.
