May stuff #4

Month of May was spent studying and being bummed over Nookie for the most part and didn't have time to post much of anything. This is CSMs new student building its got an amazing view and its super fancy. Spent a great deal of time up here.

Morning of my maternity final. Discovered that my local library opens at noon on Thursday huge disappointment (as you can tell) I had to resort to Barnes and Nobles and their yummiest treat of them all Blackout cupcake!

For the record according to Pearsons 2011 Nurse's Drug Guide Methergine which is given postpartum for hemorrhaging can be administered IV!! Wish I had the book available to show the clinical instructor that practically chewed my head off!!

Night after the final classmates went out to Hooters and then to Dax's studio, stopped by and played with Gonz for a while.

Nookie 7/17/99-5/11/2011

Nookie was born in Mexico on July 1999. He came to live with us when he was 3mo old. He flew to the U.S. with my brother along with 2 of his siblings. He lived an awesome life and enjoyed vacationing back to his homeland with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors and walks (not on cement) going to the beach, sun bathing and most importantly peeing on every corner fence he came in contact with. More than the little family protector he was a companion and provided love and friendship. Here are a few pics of our little guy... needless to say this home will never feel the same.

Pretty awesome show last night! Stoked I was able to meet up with my little cousin during the show. I thought there show in November was a little better though I think they rocked out more for that show and it was at GAMH which is a much smaller venue. That plus it had been 2 years since I had seen them last. Nonetheless it was a pretty cool show. Also yesterday marked one year of meeting Kevin Drew and Andrew Whiteman of Broken social scene at Japan town before their show at the Fillmore hmm gooowd memories.

Stopped by Starbucks on Grand before me and the girls set out for our safari west adventure to Santa Rosa last weekend. I had no idea that Vicky worked there. Girl hooked it up along with a nifty name. I'd totally study there if it weren't for getting eye fucked by all th old men who lurk there.

Did Venipunctures to day in lab. Partnered up with Rhea again since we did iv's on each other. She's my poking buddy I actually got blood return on her and was told I had great technique so that was awesome. This is my end result of my prick seriously removing my bandage was more painful that the puncture. Just finished my first maternity test have mixed feelings bout it though won't sleep good till I find out what I got. keeping my fingers crossed hope I get atleast a B!

So much for catching up with my school work. I'd set aside time for reading but didnt get as much as I would have liked done. However I was productive in getting other shit done like, getting a new phone (iPhone 4 finally), got oil change, breaks inspected, tires rotated and contacts for my eyes. crazy next couple of weeks ahead with exams and weekend excursions! Hope I'm able to cope.

Started up my spring break with a little trip to Tahoe. Looks like i traded in a Sunny weekend in SF for some snow. Trip was crazy 5 people and a full size dog in Gonz's truck we made it work and it turned out perfectly fun. I planned a bunch of studying for this week but its sorta off to a slow start. Ive made my to do list though and plan on getting as much of it done so I can be caught up with class.

Went to have my aunt look at my teeth at her clinic she noticed my teeth had been filled down due grinding. I've been grinding my teeth in my sleep ever since i could remember I need to learn new ways how to handle my stress. She made me a night guard thingy to wear and gave me the mold she used to make it. lol hella square chiclet teeth.

I have not gone shopping in a very long time :( and I miss it I'm in need of some retail happiness. In the past year I've maybe gone shopping on 3 or 4 occasions (no joke). Its really sad. I'm starting to recycle my clothes taking old stuff thats been in the back of closet out again for a second run at it. Oh well despite not being very fashionably up to date I was happy to have some options for the wedding I'm going to today. This is why I hoard clothes ya never know, two of these dresses still have tags on em. I think I'll be okay with clothes for maybe another year and half that is of course if I don't gain too much weight then I'll be at a loss.

Meadow Mad!

Been a bad aunty to Meadow Madison, haven't seen the little munchkin since December. Stopped by their place during my break from school. Can't believe how big she has gotten, she'll be 2 years next month and she fits into size 4t (4 year old clothes). Shes already outgrown her x-mas clothes! Shes so precious... loves playing with my hair counts to 11 and says her abc's :)

really enjoyed my rotation at UCSF. Gonna miss the location, the nurses, the schedule, and the patients. Oh chea and my clinical instructor Julie she was great.

IV's!

Started my first IV! Rolling veins are the hardest. Got two IV's put into my hand. I was so nervous about getting one put in. But after the first one I realized it didn't hurt, so I volunteered my other hand to another student. The NS flush was the weirdest feeling ever cool liquid running up arm, made me squirm.

Not cool

Making the Most of College

Roaming the campus today I noticed this box outside of the admin office. Thought it was so cute when I peaked inside and I seen this book. " Making the most of college"

Grubbin' in the mission!

Went to a grub crawl with the girls today I'm still full! It was pretty Rad for $40 we went to three different restaurants that fee covered our food and tip at all three locations. Well worth it. Our first stop was at the Beast and the Hare on Guerrero then to Garcon on Valencia where we chose a dish off their set menu and our last stop was at Velvet cantina; oshh they kept bringing out so much food! Like I said well worth it had a great experience will def have to that again.
