We kept the celebration of Danielle's B-day going well into the weekend. Stayed at the Westin again like we did 2 years ago. The weather was just right warm enough to be out without a coat. Hmmm wine, wine, wine!

Demartini's b-day

Happy 27th B-day Miss. Danielle DeMartini! Started off the day with brunch at Chloe's a cute little spot down the street from Danielle's place. We all had the croissant french toast so delish. We drove to the sunset and met Danielle's 92 year old grandmother her house is like a museum with a story behind everything. Cute lady full of spunk and looks great for her age. We decided that even though it was raining we would still stop by the cemetery to spend time with Ric. We bought some bubbly, crackers and brie cheese and had a picnic under our umbrellas. Seagulls went nuts when the champagne popped, caught it all on camera.

Jewelry...

I've got a ton of it but never wear it. Partly because I get an allergic reaction to anything around my neck or ears, I never think of putting any of it on, and its knotted up in a box. Decided to separate necklaces, bracelets, and earings this afternoon in hopes that I might actually wear it now that its all organized.

Dread

As my final week of vacation approaches I can't do much but frown at the thought that I'll be back with my head in a book. Definitely not the only one in my program who feels this way. I have absolutely no desire to return to school and I can't say I've ever felt this before.

Parked in the movie theater parking lot at the mall. Came back to find that a van was parked retarded next to my car seeing as I had to squeeze in to get into my car. Then I find this note on the windshield. Thought it was gonna be a note saying they scratched my car. But to my surpise it was just them explaining their bad park job.

Tried Pho for the first time with school pals! Picked up Brenda and went to San Jo (crazy retarded traffic all the way). We met with Mary and Elsa the pho was pretty good, got to give the girls their belated x-mas presents too.

Winter day

Went out with Danielle yesterday. We wen down town for a bit, and had some lunch. We had a lot of catching up to do, and planned her birthday 'day' out so excited for that. Decided to be a little spontaneous so from the mall we decided to take the next muni and didn't really care where it took us. We hoped on the N. and got off on Irving. We hung out there for a bit had a drink at the Mucky Duck (only open bar at 2pm). Then we headed back ssf where we met this little gem of a dog 'Sarah sugar brown' shes adorable and the newest addition to kristin's family.

I'm not a brand name type of a girl, but fuck it I need a new wallet badly! Met with Sandy at Starbucks today. Josie gave her an x-mas present to give to me. It was definitely something I could use right away. My wallet was so thrashed.. it was embarrassing to take out in public.

Met up with Amber for some happy hour and din din at BJ's. So stuffed, we ate and talked about beef. Lol always a great time with that girl.

Back from the dead

Oh em gee! Doing some spring cleaning/ throwing things away. Found my oooollllddd laptop in my closet it was a gateway that lasted me about one year before the charger part of the laptop broke. Really sucked since I was in the middle of my online classes at csueb. I remeber taking it in best buy when they told me it was the mother board, and it would be a lot to fix. So I bought my current netbook.. MSI. Can't believe it just turned on the charger is working too, I was ready to give ths thing the boot too!

Projection

Came back to Pam's apartment this place was cuter than her last place. She got this neat little digital camera that has a projector on it. I put my sim card in and we went through the pics from Canada on her wall.

Using these last 2 weeks to meet up with people I won't see anymore. Time to catch up, got plans for Happy hour tomorrow with Amber, gotta call Sandy to see when shes free for coffee, meeting up with the girls from school for some Pho in San Jose on Friday, and planning to stop by Sundown to catch up with the old coworkers sometime next weekend. Also need to see when Nadia is free, and maybe having lunch or something wit Gani and Jay.

Emails from school are putting me on edge. Got 2 weeks before I actually start, but I told myself i'd get all this shit done before I started like get the math down for both maternity and peds. I hate math and I get major anxiety before these test. We get two of them a semester they give us 10 questions, each one is timed one minute for regular dosage and 2 min for IV calculations. Gotta pass with a 90% so you can only miss one questions and you can only take the test 3 times (each time the tests get harder though) So far I've surprised myself. Passed both of my tests of last semester with 100% on the first try.

Here is an example of a question:
The order for Pfizerpen 200,000 U IM q6h to a three day old infant. The drug is available in powder form in a vial with 1,000,000 U. The directions on the vial say add 4.0 mL of diluent to get a solution with a concentration of 250,000 U/mL. How much will you give?

Back on track

Totally blows I've been staying up passed 3am and sleeping in well passed noon. Realized it might take me more than a week to get back into sleeping early waking up early mode. School is just around the corner. Gotta get on the ball reorganize my room and all my 1st semester things need to go into an organized easy to access box. Reality hit last night as I received an email from my new clinical instructor on instructions of our first clinical meeting. So sleepy right now.... all i wana do is zzzzzzz

New Chears was a perk-fest for me. Would have been nice to get together with my girls for a formal new years eve outing but I really wasn't feeling the idea of getting all dressed up, going to a public place with loud hip hop music with sweaty fools grinding and groping... whatevs. I just wanted to chill, and I guess thats what I did. Developed a new love with Sam Adams, but barfed like a betch. At least I wasn't the drunkest one there, that goes to v-neck guy. Anyway blahh... havppy new years, not feeling this change of year at all. The year i turn 28.. fuck I'm old.

Exploring SF

Spent the day in SF with Brenda we hit up a couple of neighborhoods. We drove by UCSF since we'll both have clinical there and she showed me where she used to live. Then we went to Haight for some Pizza.

Then off to Pacific Heights where we grabbed some coffee/tea at The Grove Cafe on Fillmore.

Headed out into the mission to look for some scrub tops. Also saw the bacon wrapped hot dog guy, but wasn't hungry enough to try one.

RugRats

Ohhh dang I havnt seen this show in years! Its great. Kito is here this morning. I would still be asleep if he weren't so loud. Ughh children. He's also sick, I wana catch his cold before I start school. Maybe I'll get it out of my system.

Dream Within a Dream

Been in bed since I woke up 4hours ago. Felt so sad after I dreamt of Ric, can't get the energy to get out of bed. Starting to realize that maybe it was his way of paying me a visit, and i shouldn't feel so sad. Strange how I never let myself get so emotional in front of him in real life yet I did just that in my dream. Miss you!!!

Headed back home. Stopped to see some snow b4 we left Oregon. It was so light and powdery. Of course I fell in the snow and got all wet. We're approaching mount shasta now, while listening to explosions... 'The Earth Isn't a Cold Dead Place'. Epic trip

Space Needle

Got to Seattle last night we're a block away from the space needle. Had a blast last night at this bar 'The Fun House' we got lucky and found something near by open. The people there were super cool. We had a pitcher between the two of us. Everyone was so nice so far Seattle rocks, getting ready to spend the day here.

Crossing borders

Crossing the border into Canada, while listening to 'Boards of Canada' wild! They had us pull over to the side asked us a bunch of questions Gonz's awkwardness made them make us go into their office for further questioning. Things got alittle intense and it totally felt like they were trying to catch us in a lie we were honest though and luckily they didnt inspect the truck. Canada is fucken weird but cool! Very excited to spend tomorrow (Christmas) here and then going to Seattle, heard the 'experience music project' is cool can't wait to check that out. Currently staying at a nice ass hotel/casino in Vancouver.
